Alexa Barrett

Alexa Barrett (she/her) is a fourth-year graduate student in the Clinical Psychology Training Program at UNL. Broadly, her research interests include the association between substance use and externalizing behaviors and forensic assessment and treatment. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology from Kent State University in 2018 and a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University in 2021. Alexa has worked with adults and adolescents involved in the legal system at clinical and forensic settings. Currently, she is involved in research regarding restorative justice and substance use offenses among a prison population. She is an extern at the Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education where she provides trauma-focused therapy.
